I'm happy to say I've started my January piece. I intend to be consistent in size, though I may have some vertical and some horizontal. From the fabric collage I selected a narrow format that was a pleasing combination of fabrics. The border fabric will most likely not show much, but the design intention is to show the collage fabrics with beaded embellishments. It is hard to see in the photo, but there is a lot of shimmering fabrics in this particular piece. Not always my thing,but I like having a real classically Winter feeling for January with cool colors and effects to reflect the magic that winter can be.This and any of the photos on this blog can be enlarged by clicking on it, if you want to see more detail.
I have not gotten too far but so far I'm choosing more pearl style beads to continue with the shimmering effects but to contrast with the fabrics.
