Note to self: show photos of something that isn’t round! It’s true, I’ve been working in a round format lately, including the above. I had a hard time getting a decent image of this because the barrette hardware causes a curve. The photos were a bust; the scanner was better. This is a little creature inspired by the the mother of pearl disc button that became its face. I have a supply of the discs and plan to make the creature again. 4” in diameter. I have some finishing work to do to the back of it, and then it will start on its journey, to Colorado, to Nashville, and ultimately to China.

ReplyDeleteThis is a delightful creature... know what you mean about the difficulty of photographing curved items... glad to know about scanning. I never thought of trying it that way.
