Almost Showtime!

We are only days away from the Juneau Public Market.  I have more  brooches made than I ever have before, including a a new exploration with vintage papers, shown above.  Rather than being in the Annex, I’m changing it up and will have a presence in the main Public Market in Centennial Hall.

I will be in the HIckel Room, which I think will be a good fit for my wares.  I have mixed feelings about this, because I LOVE the Annex, the guys that are always so helpful year after year, and the fabulous JAHC staff who are so supportive and encouraging.  It just seemed to be time to give another dimension a go.

I read in the September Vogue Magazine (You know, the huge one? ) that Brooches are very in style right now!  What better brooch than one that is more a piece of art than jewelry?  Most people wear my brooches on their coat, a hat or on a bag, which I love.

More than anything, I look forward to seeing friends at the market.  It’s amazing how many friends you see – and make!  at this great annual event.  see you there!

(And this year it's not my anniversary...I'll have to come up with other reasons to buy :) )
